The Content I Watched Over Break

Over thanksgiving break, I, like many other college students back home for break, spent ample time binge-watching Netflix.

Of course, I did my fair share of shopping and visiting friends, but with Thanksgiving Break only being 5 days, (2 of which are spent traveling back and forth to and from home and college,) there is an excess amount of time to catch up on all the latest content.

Sure I could have gotten ahead on my coursework but who wants to do that? Not me.

I will pat myself on the back however, because I was not being completely unproductive.

While I rotted my brain with useless content, I was also crocheting a sweater which I did finish. So that’s something to be proud about.

The Content I Consumed

Over the course of the 5 day break, I consumed an impressive amount of Netflix shows and movies if I do say so myself.

Fate: The Winx Saga

Season 2 of this Netflix original was underwhelming to say the least

While I hadn’t initially had high hopes for this season, I was very glad I was distracted with making my sweater while I was watching so that I didn’t have to pay much attention.

The story relied very heavily on morally gray characters to the point where I didn’t know what side I was supposed to be rooting for.

Wednesday

Wednesday (TV series) - Wikipedia

I am very glad that I did not watch this series as a fan of the Addams Family.

The show was a very classic supernatural Netflix mystery show. Meaning that it had a few good jokes but it relied less on characters being good and more on the idea of the show.

I watched someone critique the show by saying they were trying to capitalize off of the Hogwarts/ school for magical people idea which is exactly what they did.

Arcane and Heartstopper

Arcane (TV Series 2021– ) - IMDb
Heartstopper (TV Series 2022– ) - IMDb

Both of these shows were rewatches for me.

I feel that both are still as good as the first time I watched them.

Arcane has a compelling and complex story with animation that is absolutely addicting to look at.

Heartstopper is a great story with beautiful visuals and an amazing soundtrack.

To All The Boys I Loved Before 1 and 2

To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You (2020) - IMDb

I also rewatched both of these movies.

I honistly watched both of these because I felt like watching something bad.

Sometimes you just need to watch a fake dating plot just to have something on.

Both movies are and have always been bad and watching them is enjoyable only to IRONICALLY become engrossed in the plot and the characters.

Ironically of course.
